Sky Pittson, MD
Dr. Pittson has made Palo Alto his home since his undergraduate days at Stanford University and the Stanford University School of Medicine. He stayed to complete his residency in Pediatrics at Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, and went on to build a thriving private practice in Palo Alto before joining The Village Doctor in 2011.
As an adjunct clinical faculty member at Stanford, he has taught pediatric residents at the patient’s bedside and in his clinic. He has been honored with the Golden Apple Award for Teaching by the Department of Pediatrics, and has been awarded the Patient’s Choice Award yearly since 2008, with the additional distinction of Most Compassionate Doctor in 2010.
Dr. Pittson has particular interest newborn care, pediatric sleep medicine, disorders of attention and focus, gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) and feeding disorders, asthma and allergic disorders, as well as supporting a strong rapport with teens as they face challenging issues of self-esteem and high-risk behaviors. He has uncommon clinical experience in treating children with complex aerodigestive conditions with overlapping, multidisciplinary sleep, gastrointestinal, allergy, voice, otolarygology, and/or attention disorders.
